"Socknapped": Now an Award-Winning Film!

"Socknapped," my short film about a sock being kidnapped and held for ransom, won the Audience Favorite award at the 2011 Penn College Houses Film Festival! It was awesome to watch it on the big screen of a real movie theater, and to see people laugh at my favorite parts of the movie (Also, I got to find out which parts I thought were hilarious but nobody else did).

If you've never seen "Socknapped," you can watch it here:

There's also a remixed version called "Quantum of Sockless," which was pretty much made by accident: while I was watching an early cut of the movie with no soundtrack, "You Know My Name" (the theme of Casino Royale) happened to come up on shuffle on my iTunes, and synced up ridiculously well with the movie. Since the first few scenes matched up perfectly with barely any extra editing necessary, I decided to recut the rest of the movie to match as well. So enjoy:

Finally, as with all of my movies, I made storyboards before filming it. If you want to see the rest of the storyboards for the chase sequence, you can check them out here. Otherwise, here are some of them:

Thanks a lot to everyone who showed up and helped "Socknapped" win the Audience award! I literally could not have done it without you.
